Website Redesign
This project involved redesigning a city government website to improve usability, accessibility, and public engagement. The previous design was outdated and difficult to navigate, making it hard for residents to access services, permits, announcements, and city resources. The redesign focused on creating a clean and intuitive interface, ensuring responsive design across all devices, and implementing accessibility standards for all users. Key features included service category breakdowns, smart search, contact quick-links, and a simplified layout structure for quicker access to city-related tasks. By combining human-centered design with strong information architecture, the project resulted in a trustworthy and scalable digital presence — supporting transparency, public interaction, and civic awareness.

The project’s main objective was to redesign a city’s official website to enhance public access to services and improve digital trust. The previous interface lacked usability and visual clarity, which made it challenging for users to find essential information like permits, announcements, and city resources.
The redesign introduced a structured layout with intuitive navigation, responsive grids, and improved accessibility for all user types, including seniors and people with disabilities. Strategic use of whitespace, category-based services, and prominent call-to-actions helped streamline the user journey and reduce bounce rates.
Mobile optimization and ADA-compliant design standards were prioritized to ensure inclusivity across all devices and screen sizes. The final outcome positioned the city’s website as a transparent, accessible, and service-oriented digital experience.
